Breville "Duo-Temp" 800ESXL Espresso Machine - $250 in Sudbury, Ontario for sale

My time together with this great little machine was too short. Needing espressos on demand and considering myself to be too rebellious for automatic machines (Nespresso, Keurig, and the like), I opted to get this fantastic entry-level Breville 800ESXL.

I have used both professional machines (think Gaggia, Faema...) and other entry-level home machines (Hamilton Beach, Krups...). I can confidently say that the Breville sits easily above all other home machines I've used. It heats quickly, which is very important in getting good "dry" steam and hot espresso with good crema. It has ample clearance to fit your whole mug under the portafilter, so you won't need to pull shots into little cups and then transfer them to a mug for milky drinks.

The machine came with single- and double-shot dual wall filters, which are great if you don't have a good burr grinder, or don't want to use fresh beans all the time. With the dual-walls, you get excellent crema pretty much regardless of the grounds you use. I also ordered (and am including) a set of single- and double-shot single wall filters. These can be used to extend the pull (getting a 27-second pull is NOT difficult) if you have a good burr grinder set to a very fine setting.

I used the 800ESXL ~12 times before I was given a higher model as a gift. I meticulously cleaned the machine after every single use, and have washed all removable parts with soap and hot water to get it prepped to sell. There is no buildup of any sort on the machine. It is practically NEW! I will pack it in its original box with all the goodies that it came with (tamper/scoop, frothing jug, instructions, cleaning needle, yadda yadda)

TL;DR - great entry-level espresso machine, used about a dozen times and OCD-grade cleaned, extra single wall filters included.
